Why Fast Bananas RUNsource

For decades, runners of all levels—from beginners to elite athletes—have faced the same frustrating reality: too many injuries and too few real solutions. Despite constant improvements in shoes, technology, and medical knowledge, injury rates among runners have stayed incredibly high—up to 80% every year. Even more concerning, only about 25% of injured runners ever seek professional care.

Why? Because many runners don’t want to stop running, they’ve had bad experiences with healthcare providers who don’t fully understand the sport, or they don’t have the time or money to see multiple specialists. Instead, most runners choose to self-treat, rely on advice they find online, or simply push through the pain.

A Pattern That Needed to Change

After treating thousands of injured runners—from middle school athletes to Olympians—Dr. Kate Mihevc Edwards noticed a clear and consistent pattern. Most injuries were overuse-related and preventable, yet runners kept getting hurt because they didn’t have access to the right guidance at the right time.

It wasn’t just about injuries—it was about how fragmented care had become. Runners would see a physical therapist, but they’d also need more strength training, nutrition advice, or help with managing mental stress. Getting all of that in one place was nearly impossible unless you were part of an elite team with a dedicated support system.

This was the gap: a lack of accessible, trusted, multidisciplinary guidance that could help runners stay healthy, improve performance, and avoid getting hurt in the first place.

A Better Way Forward

Dr. Edwards saw how things changed when a multidisciplinary approach was applied. While working with Atlanta Track Club Elite, runners had access to experts across different fields—physical therapy, nutrition, mental health, and performance coaching. The result? Fewer injuries, faster recoveries, and better performance.

That experience made it clear: runners everywhere needed access to the same level of care, without the high cost, logistical hurdles, or frustration of piecing it together themselves. RUNsource was born to fill that gap—a resource built for runners, by people who understand the sport inside and out.

Changing the Running Culture

The real goal behind RUNsource is simple: to shift running from reactive to proactive. Too often, runners only seek help when they’re already injured. But staying healthy isn’t just about fixing problems after they happen—it’s about getting ahead of injuries, building strength, improving form, and knowing when to back off.

RUNsource is about helping runners run smarter, not harder. It’s about creating a culture where runners can stay in the sport longer, avoid unnecessary setbacks, and continue doing what they love without interruption.

RunSource has been a blessing to me as I’ve been able to deal with running injuries when traveling! I’ve been able to assess my injuries and immediately jump into a treatment program depending on my symptoms. RUNsource has been so clutch, the fact that a one year subscription is cheaper than the price of a single physio appointment is amazing. Love it!
