Dr. Sara Raiser, MD, FAAPMR, CAQSM, LMT
Dr. Sara Raiser is a primary care sports medicine academic physiatrist and running medicine physician at the University of Virginia Runners’ Clinic in Charlottesville. She has a keen interest in running medicine and has trained with running medicine experts across the country. Because she enjoys providing holistic and comprehensive care to athletes, much of her time is spent working closely with a multidisciplinary team to care for athletes with complex conditions such as bone stress injuries by addressing biomechanics, nutrition, and training plans, as well as performing run gait evaluations, assisting with return to run/sport plans, and addressing issues specific to the female athlete.
She has served as a team physician for Atlanta Track Club’s Elite Development Team; George Tech (Div I) and Emory College (Div III) Cross Country and Track & Field teams; Stanford University Varsity Athletics (Div I); South Forsyth, Cherokee Bluff, and Flowery Branch High Schools. She provides mass event medical coverage for road races, cross country races, and track and field events. Dr. Raiser is currently a PM&R Sports medicine Physician at UVA. Dr. Altelisha Taylor MD, MPH
Dr. Altelisha "Lisha" Taylor is a board-certified family medicine & sports medicine physician who treats patients of all ages. Along with primary care, she specializes in injury prevention, bone stress management, nutrition optimization, and ultrasound-guided injections for athletes and active adults. Dr. Taylor received her bachelor's degree from Duke University, a master's degree in public health from George Washington University, and went to medical school at the University of Florida. She did her residency training in family medicine at Emory University and completed a fellowship in sports medicine from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). During her time in Los Angeles, Dr. Taylor served as a team physician for UCLA athletics and an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA), the Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA), and the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB). She now lives in Atlanta, GA working as faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine, a primary care sports medicine physician, and the co-medical director of Atlanta Track Club Elite (a division of professional middle distance runners).

Dr. Chris Stanley MS, PhD
Chris has been involved with USA Track and Field since 2014, beginning with work at regional events and U20 international teams. Most recently, he has served as lead Sport and Performance Psychology staff at the Olympic trials in Eugene, Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris, Indoor World Championships in Serbia, and the Outdoor World Championships in Oregon. He has also consulted with a variety of other professional organizations, including the Atlanta Track Club.

Dr. Amedeus Mason, MD
Dr. Mason is board certified in Sports Medicine with a special interest in track and field, running injuries and exercise testing. Dr. Mason has been invited to be a resident physician at the US Olympic Training Center, team physician with the national governing body for USA Track & Field for over 20 years, a Sports Medicine consultant in his homeland of Jamaica and the Chief Medical Officer at multiple USA Track and Field international competitions. He has also been a frequently featured guest on CNN’s fit nation commenting on a wide variety of topics related to athletics and running injuries. Dr. Mason attended Princeton University and was Captain of the track team.

Dr. Carrie J. Pagliano has been a dynamic leader in the areas of women’s/pelvic health for nearly 25 years. Dr. Pagliano speaks internationally in the areas of postpartum return to sport and integrative models of practice in pelvic physical therapy. She is a national media spokesperson for the APTA. Dr. Pagliano is the founder of Carrie Pagliano Physical Therapy, LLC in Arlington, Virginia & The Real Moms’ Guide to Postpartum Digital course series for moms & postpartum professionals as well as the host of Active Mom Postpartum Podcast.

Dr. Amy Bender, PhD
Dr. Bender is Director of Clinical Sleep Science at Cerebra, a sleep health technology startup and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. During her work as a postdoc, she helped develop the only validated sleep screening tool for athletes and implemented sleep optimization strategies for numerous Canadian Olympic and professional teams. She won the 2017 Mitacs National award for product commercialization and was selected as one of Mitacs next 150 innovators for her work optimizing sleep in athletes.

Gráinne Donnelly, PT
Gráinne is an advanced physiotherapist in pelvic health and clinical researcher in the UK. Her research interests are in female return to sport including running with a focus on postpartum athletes, pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis rectus abdominis. She is the co-author for the UK return to running postnatal clinical guidelines.

Amy Begley
Coach Amy Begley is a former Olympian & the Former Head Coach for The Atlanta Track Club. During the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials 10,000 meters, Amy ran an unforgettable race, closing hard to finish third and book her ticket to the Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2009, she finished 6th at the IAAF World Championships in the 10,000 meters, running a personal best of 31:13. Only nine American women had run faster at the time.
Since retiring from professional competition, Amy has been an influential coach and a leader in the sport. She coached cross country and track at the University of Connecticut and founded the Distance Divas in Portland, Oregon, helping post-collegiate women bridge the gap to a professional career. Amy has also served in leadership positions and on various committees for USA Track and Field including, most recently, the organization's Board of Directors. She is also involved in the women's professional team, the Heartland Trackclub.

Dr. Christopher Herbs PT, DPT is a Boston-based physical therapist who specializes in working with runners. Chris is a veteran runner with over 15 years of experience in the sport. After competing in cross country and track in high school, Chris competed as an unattached athlete in NCAA meets as well as at the club level in both college and graduate school. Chris also has extensive road racing experience in distances ranging from the road mile to the Boston Marathon. After completing his graduate studies in 2018, Chris earned his RRCA coaching certification and began privately coaching runners of all ability levels. Chris uses this athletic and coaching experience in addition to his academic background to inform his practice while serving runners as a physical therapist.

Dr. Diego Buen PT, DPT
Dr. Diego Buen is a NYC-based physical therapist for runners and athletes of all levels from Olympian to beginner. Diego has been involved with the sports of track and field and distance running for over 15 years. He has competed as a four-year NCAA athlete in both cross country and track and field, winning the CUNY championships in the 400IH races three years in a row. He has multiple years of experience coaching runners in multiple areas such as distance running, sprinting, and hurdling. He continues to compete in track and field as a Masters athlete in the M30-34 category. As a physical therapist, coach, and athlete, he is just as passionate for injury rehabilitation and prevention as he is for the sport of running.

Dr. Elizabeth Karr PT, DPT
Dr. Elizabeth Karr PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist at Precision Performance and Physical Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a member of the MAPP team for the Atlanta track Club Elite. A lover of all forms of movement including running, Elizabeth understands the emotions experienced when an athlete is hindered by an injury, and is grateful that her career allows her to help people get back to the activities that they love. Amber Ramga NSCA-CPT, CSCS is a personal trainer in the Atlanta area and owner of Acceleration Fitness. She helps clients both online and in person with simplifying strength training. Amber believes that lifting weights doesn't need to be so serious and if you're not having fun you're doing it wrong. She has helped many athletes coming back from injury, women during pregnancy and postpartum, and those just looking to move better, feel better, and look better.

Dr. Courtney Gleason, MD
Dr. Courtney Gleason is a non-operative sports medicine physician at Emory University in the Department of Orthopedics. She is the director of the Emory Women's Sports & Wellness Conference and the Director of Emory's Female Athlete Program.
Dr. Gleason is the head team physician for Agnes Scott College and a team physician for the Atlanta Dream. Special interests include working with dancers and aesthetic athletes and runners. She is particularly interested in bone health, bone stress injuries, overuse injuries, and the concept of relative energy deficiency in sport. She has a special interest in understanding female athlete attrition in sports and working with and for female athletes to optimize performance, minimize injury risk, and keep them active and playing the sports they love.

Yoga Instructor, Owner of Form Yoga & Soul Nourish Retreats. Mandy has studied yoga with numerous accomplished national and international teachers from various traditions. Mandy is twice a Lululemon Athletica ambassador in Atlanta and represented Atlanta at the 2015 Lululemon Ambassador Summit in Whistler. Emily Barnart MS, RD, CSSD, CSCS
Emily Barnhart is a Sports Dietitian and carb lover. Her practice, The Injury RD, arose after hearing a coach warn an athlete, “Just don’t come back fat.” moments after the athlete heard earth-shattering news. He needed major surgery and was about undergo a 12–18-month rehab process. Emily believes we need to bring a more compassionate voice to food, nutrition, and body image to athletes overcoming injury. Emily has worked with collegiate and professional organizations and currently consults with the USA Volleyball men and women’s court teams.

Dr. Kayla Balcom
Dr. Kayla Balcom was a figure skater most of her life, she was introduced to the mental skills of sport quite early. Kayla received a degree in Psychology, she then pursued her PhD at the University of North Texas. Following her degree she worked at the University of Miami and the University of Tulsa. Dr. Balcom was the director of Sport Psychology at Georgia Tech working with student-athletes. She was a part of the initial MAPP team at the Atlanta Track club and has a small private practice for community clients, young student-athletes, and elite and professional athletes.

Dr. Blair Green PT, DPT, PCS, PHS
Dr. Blair Green PT, DPT, OCS, PHC is a physical therapist with over 20 years of experience. She has spent at least 17 of those years working in women’s health As a teacher and nationally recognized presenter, she talks about putting the pelvic floor back in to the body and a holistic approach to pelvic health. She is the co-author of Go Ahead Stop and Pee: Running During Pregnancy and Postpartum and speaks on TV, in person and on podcasts about the subject and her book.

Kelsey Pontius RD, CSSD
Kelsey is a board certified specialist in sports dietetics, Kelsey has worked in the clinical arena with a multitude of different medical complexities through her experiences in working in acute care and one the country's largest spinal cord and brain injury rehabilitation centers, Brooks Rehabilitation. She currently is a consulting dietitian with four division 1 NCAA programs and works 1:1 with athletes of all levels in a private practice setting. Her current interests in the field include preparing for endurance racing, optimizing gut health, nutrition to support injury healing, and accomplishing hormonal balance through proper nutrition.

Dr. Lyndsay Centrowitz PT, DPT
An avid runner herself, she has a particular interest in working with collegiate, recreational and elite endurance athletes and has undergone specialty training in pelvic floor rehabilitation, pregnancy and postpartum care, and management of the female athlete to better serve her clientele.

Alissa a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified personal trainer based in Atlanta with ten+ years of experience. She is a runner and very involved in the Atlanta running community. Shari has recently returned to teaching after a sabbatical to honor the changes to her postpartum body and life. Stephanie brings over 25 years of experience in yoga, movement and healing. With a basis in Alexander Technique, she received her original yoga teaching certification with Cyndi Lee at OM Yoga Center in New York City in 2001. While that training gave her a strong foundation in Shambala Buddhism and mindfulness, Stephanie pursued her passion for yoga therapeutics.Stephanie had the privilege of having studied with a great many master teachers and has taught in many places including New York, Boulder, Maui, San Francisco, and currently in the Atlanta area. Dr. Michelle Barrack is is a Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at California State University and Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. Dr. Barrack's primary area of research focuses on evaluating relationships between nutrition, exercise, bone health, risk factors associated with low bone mineral density, injury and efficacy of nutrition education intervention programs to optimize energy availability and nutrient intake among adolescent and collegiate endurance runners
Dr. Barrack served as the lead dietitian of the 7-year healthy runner project, which identified a significant reduction in bone stress injury (BSI) rates at trabecular-rich sites among female NCAA Division I endurance runners. Dr. Barrack published book chapters on the female athlete, runner nutrition and has been featured in media outlets including Runner's World, Women's Running and the Runner's Zone podcast.

Dr. Lance Frank (he/him) is a physical therapist that specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction in all gender identities.
